I started playing for no particular reason and ended up with this. I noticed it sounds a bit like Spinvis (Dutch artist), so I designed the artwork in his honor (style).

This started off as an experiment. First I created an ascending baseline, from C to C. Then I wanted to see if I could still make it into a ‘proper’ song, as inspired by Ian O’Brien.
It worked out very well I think. The beat is one of my best yet and works very well with the bass.

Sjill 5 cd 2 inlay
The four compilation cd’s (Sjill 1 – 4) were a success, and there were many requests for another edition. After a lot of delay, I finally designed and compiled a 5th, and final, edition which consists of 2 CD’s. Cd one has a more relaxing sound, whilst cd two is a bit more up-tempo.
The designs feature several of my own photographs and are made to resemble the athmosphere of each cd. The ‘Sjill’ series hereby ends. I will continue to make compilation cd’s, but I’m moving on from this concept.

DVD Cover
A friend of mine approached me saying he still had some VHS tapes containing classic footage of old Group B rally cars, including some promotional videos by Lancia and Audi. He asked me if I could convert them to DVD, which I could. I could have left it at that, but I didn’t feel confortable with a blatant VHS rip to DVD.

Tussenblad Fotoselectie
Voor mijn toelating tot de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht heb ik een ‘analoog’ portfolio gebouwd aan de hand van eerder gemaakt werk. Om de boel een beetje op te leuken heb ik ook tabbladen ontworpen die de verschillende secties inleiden.
Helaas ben ik niet toegelaten omdat ik al ‘te ver ontwikkeld’ zou zijn. Ik blijf een autodidact..
